My ps3 has trouble updating games
This could be related to back-end network connectivity issues on the Microsoft server side.
I recently attempted to update my PS3 to the latest version as required by sony for online blahblah.
Inserting a disc and installing it should be an easy task, but things have gone awry for some users.
Some of IGN's readers have noted that game installs seem to sputter out around the 97% mark, stalling out indefinitely.
Two solutions are presented, one where the user is to reproduce the issue as follows: 1. Once accepted (by pressing the X button while selecting [OK]), a “Please wait…” message will be displayed.
When Gran Turismo 6 is launched while connected to PSN, a message will appear on screen informing the users that “the latest update data for this software has been found (Version X. After a few seconds, the Play Station®3 system will emit 3 acoustic signals and restarts automatically. At this point, some users may receive a message stating that the system was not shut down correctly last time.
It now appears that every console — PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 — are experiencing similar difficulties.
